Laura Peacock
I was born and bred on the Hauraki Plains, and played representative netball & badminton throughout my schooling life. A few years ago, I made some huge lifestyle changes and lost 25kg. After experiencing the satisfaction and happiness that exercise and healthy-eating gave me, I wanted to learn more about my new-found passion. So, I worked around my full-time job as a legal executive, and completed my Certificate 3 & 4 in Personal Training.
I have completed a 100km charity cycle for Starship Hospital. I loved my cycling training, and the buzz of completing a large-scale event with the support of friends and family. Elsewhere, I am always on the lookout for new challenges, and am driven to better myself and learn more every day. I'm keen to compete in a corporate boxing fight in the near future - one of my bucket-list items!
Outside of the gym, I enjoy playing my guitar and singing, whether it be busking in town, or playing at cafes and clubs. I also have a journalism degree, and enjoy writing & blogging.
I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience through my own weight loss and fitness journey, and truly believe that anything is possible with hard work, discipline and of course some experimentation & fun with different types of exercise. As TCA's new Personal Trainer, I look forward to meeting you all, and I am eager to share my journey & knowledge with you in the hope of helping you to reach your fitness potential.
